Well HGTV is doing the Dream Home give away again this year, we entered of course, but we are not as excited about the the location or house as we were the previous years. The house is beautiful, but maybe it is the fear of the economy tanking that has us saying wow we could not afford the house which will most likely short sell if the economy continues to spiral.We know we could never afford to live in the house; we could never afford any of the dream homes, but we went after the prize, because we felt we could sell the house to pay off the prize taxes and walk away with funds to maybe make a reasonable dream home in our home town. This year we are cautious that that plan may not work.

We are excited about HGTV’s green home series. Last year the house was actually built in our budget range, and hopefully this years will be too.
